One of the big questions before every championship is who will take home the trophy, but another table of interest for fans is the top scorers’ list. The Brazilian Serie A has had different top scorers in the last five years, so the battle for the golden boot is likely to be wide open.

The 2021 Atlético Mineiro champion also had the top scorer that year, as no one found the net as many times as Hulk (19).

In 2020, Luciano (São Paulo) and Claudinho (Red Bull Bragantino) shared the honor with 18 goals each.

Gabriel Barbosa’s 25 goals for Flamengo in 2019 earned him the title for the second consecutive year, although the previous season he had scored 18 goals wearing Santos’ uniform.
