Brazilian collided with a teammate and needed medical attention

An incident during a training session on Thursday (25) left Girona, from Spain, concerned about two of their players. Yan Couto and Juanpe Ramírez were involved in a collision during the activities at the club’s training center, resulting in their immediate transfer to the hospital.

The two players collided head-on during a field activity on Wednesday morning, leading to the need for medical attention.

How are the players?

Coach Miguel Ángel, in a press conference after the incident, confirmed the situation and explained that both players were taken to the hospital for a series of detailed clinical exams, in order to rule out possible injuries resulting from the impact.

“Yan Couto and Juanpe collided, head-on, and at this moment both are in the hospital,” he said.

There is still no update on the players’ condition.

Girona in La Liga

Meanwhile, Girona, currently in third place in the Spanish Championship, face Las Palmas next Saturday (27), starting at 9am (Brasília time). The team has 68 points, just two less than second-placed Barcelona, making the situation even more crucial for the Catalan club.
