Real Madrid is without a doubt one of the most attractive clubs for any professional footballer. The Marca newspaper made a list of the 15 most expensive signings in the club’s history, in which five Brazilians appear.

“O Fenomeno” arrived in the Spanish capital for the 2002/03 season from Inter Milan, in a transfer that cost Madrid 45 million euros. Ronaldo Nazário made the fans forget about his past in Barcelona and was part of the unforgettable “Galácticos”.

When Vinicius Junior landed in Madrid in 2018, few in Spain knew who he was. However, the management of the Madrid institution was impressed with the Brazilian’s potential and that is why they paid 45 million euros to sign him. Time proved them right.

A year after Vini’s arrival, the Whites once again recruited talent in Brazilian football. Also for 45 million, they acquired the services of Rodrygo, who at 18 years old was already making headlines in Santos.

The case of Eder Militao is a little different from that of his current teammates: he was already in European football before going on to play for the Santiago Bernabéu. In 2019, Madrid acquired the central marker from Porto in exchange for 50 million euros.

Kaka

Kaká

In 2009, Real Madrid made the big splash in the market by signing Kaká for 67 million euros from Milan. The Brazilian was one of the most coveted footballers in the world at that time, after having shone for several years with the Rossoneri team. However, he could not repeat in Spain how well he had done in Italy.
