Rosana Augusto, the top Brazilian footballer with two Olympic silver medals and a UEFA Women’s Champions League title, spoke about the importance of Brazil hosting the event in her chat with FIFA:

“For Brazilian female footballers, it would be significant for Brazil to host the 2027 (FIFA Women’s) World Cup because it would really have an impact on those young girls who dream of playing football and it would help combat misogyny, creating more opportunities for the new generation (of female footballers). Hosting the (FIFA Women’s) World Cup on home soil would be wonderful, just having family and friends close to you”

The 2027 FIFA Women’s World Cup will be the tenth edition. This tournament will see 32 national teams compete. The host nation, Brazil, will participate, adding to the local excitement.

As preparations start, Brazil is ready to offer a great experience for teams and fans worldwide. The 2027 Women’s World Cup will be a bright celebration of progress, equality, and the beautiful game. Spain will defend their title after winning in 2023 and fans are eager to see if they can stay on top.
