However, the 36-year-old footballer will have to wait until July 10 to make his debut, since the transfer window is closed in Brazil.

The Giant, named so because of his 1.95 meters in height, terminated his contract with Timão. I am sure that we are going to build a great story,” the goalkeeper told Cruzeiro’s official media after signing a three-year contract. “A great team starts with having a great goalkeeper. “We are very happy that Cássio has accepted our proposal,” said team owner Pedro Lourenço.

The businessman recently acquired the shares of Ronaldo Nazário and seeks to renew the image of the club that is sixth in the Brasileirão, although it owes a match that could lead it to share the leadership with Athletico Paranaense and Bahía. The team will also define its classification to the round of 16 of the Copa Sudamericana at home against Universidad Católica (Ecuador).

This leadership change also explains the reason for Cássio’s early arrival. Although he still cannot play, his transfer already generates an impact, revalues the institutional project and seeks to serve as motivation to add other renowned footballers starting in the next transfer period in July.
