In the midst of a sporting crisis, still without a coach after the dismissal of Ramón Díaz and with the great risk of facing another season with the constant fear of relegation, Vasco da Gama fans have already had enough of 777 Partners’ SAF.

On the morning of this Tuesday, April 30, Vasco da Gama’s house, São Januário, woke up completely graffitied and covered in stickers with various messages focused on the same topic: the immediate departure of 777 Partners, a company that owns 70% of the club’s shares from February 2022.

Vasco da Gama fans ask for the immediate departure of 777 Partners

The walls of the legendary stadium were the canvas on which at least a few dozen Vasco da Gama fans expressed their complaints, criticisms and demands towards the current board, sending varied messages ranging from the dismissal of manager Lúcio, to the Immediate departure from the investment group:

“200 million in this shit – Vasco doesn’t need you, go home – OUT 777 – Out 777 – Out Lúcio”, were just some of the messages that could be seen above the stadium, before the club’s board of directors had the walls painted and all the stickers removed during that busy Tuesday morning (04/30).

It is clear that, despite the board’s attempts to silence criticism and delete those messages, the fans have already spoken and if the situation does not change at Vasco da Gama, this 2024 could be a very dark one for a team that the season last passed he was saved in-extremis from relegation.

Remembering Zagallo

Sambafoot Series launched a new documentary about the football legend Zagallo. Known as ‘Velho Lobo‘ and as superstitious as it gets, Zagallo helped shape what Brazilian football is nowadays — as a player and as a coach.

The first three episodes are available on Sambafoot’s Youtube channel. Stay tuned for the upcoming releases as we keep telling this legend’s life story.
