Palmeiras boss Abel Ferreira named among 50 best coaches in the world

Abel Ferreira has gained recognition for his work at the helm of Palmeiras since October 2020. In fact, the Portuguese has forged such a reputation that English magazine FourFourTwo placed him at No. 13 in its ranking of the best coaches on Earth.

Ferreira boasts 10 titles in charge of Verdao, matching Osvaldo Brandão as the most successful manager in club history. Ferreira has so far led the team to three Campeonatos Paulistas (2022, 2023, and 2024), two Brasileiraos (2022 and 2023), one Copa do Brasil (2020), one Supercopa do Brasil (2023), one Recopa Sudamericana (2022), and notably, two Libertadores (2020 and 2021).

The other manager in the Brazilian league that made the top 50 is Tite (40th). Even though Flamengo are not going through the best of times, Tite has built a great reputation throughout his career.
