Vasco and Philippe Coutinho may reunite after 14 years. According to information from the newspaper “Lance” and the website “Mídia Vascaína”, the parties are negotiating the midfielder’s return.

The conversation has been going on for a few days, but it is considered difficult. Cruzmaltino will try to permanently sign the idol in mid-2024.

Can Philippe Coutinho return?

The midfielder has a contract until 2026 with Aston Villa in England. Currently, Coutinho plays for Al-Duhail in Qatar. In the season, there are 21 games, with seven goals and three assists.

The English club paid 20 million euros in 2022 to take him from Barcelona. Now, the English will try to recover, in part, the invested value. The loan to the Qatari team was paid, but the value was not disclosed.

Vasco should make a purchase offer for Philippe, who is 31 years old, and would accept the return to the team where he was revealed.
