After the announcement of Toni Kroos’ retirement from professional football at the end of the European Championship, Real Madrid is already moving to find a suitable replacement for the experienced German midfielder.

Names that have already been mentioned

  • So far, the attention has been focused on European players such as Joshua Kimmich, from Bayern Munich, and Rodri, from Manchester City;
  • Both are internationally recognized for their technical quality and ability to influence the game in midfield;
  • However, given the Brazilian tradition in producing football talents and the long history of Brazilian players playing for Real Madrid, it is natural that questions arise about the possibility of a Brazilian taking the position left by Kroos.

Bruno Guimarães?

Names like Casemiro and Fabinho, who have already shown great skill and leadership in their respective teams, could be considered for this role, but age has already caught up with them.

The most likely player to take over Real Madrid’s midfield would be the Brazilian Bruno Guimarães, currently attached to Newcastle and always a hot name in the European market.

However, so far there are no confirmations or concrete rumors about Real Madrid’s interest in Brazilian players to replace Kroos.

Remembering Zagallo
