In this list, the aforementioned outlet ranks South American footballers who, being under 20 years old, have reached the highest market values in the history of the region, with Vinicius being the highest-valued footballer at 18 years old, when he was valued at around 70 million euros.

Today, Vinicius enjoys an excellent form that has allowed him to increase his valuation to 150 million euros at the age of 23, but his value reached in 2019 remains historic.

Brazilian dominance in the historical ranking of the most valuable South American teenagers

Since this outlet has been collecting data and assigning market values through community votes, no other South American footballer has reached a higher market value being under 20 years old, and the two players closest to those figures are his compatriots: Rodrygo Goes and Endrick Felipe.

Rodrygo, 23, is valued at 100 million euros, but in 2019, when he was just 18 years old, he had a valuation of 50 million, making him the second most expensive South American footballer under 20 in history.

Endrick Felipe, Palmeiras gem and future player of Real Madrid, is third. At 17 years of age, Endrick already has a valuation of 45 million euros, being only 5 million away from reaching Rodrygo’s mark and 25 million away from matching Vinicius’, all this being one year younger than these players when they reached said historic value.

Endrick will turn 18 on July 27, 2024, and will have a minimum of two more years to surpass the marks of his compatriots and future teammates at Real Madrid.

Another Brazilian prodigy is in fourth place. Vitor Roque, who recently joined FC Barcelona, at 19 years old has a market value of 40 million euros and may also have the opportunity to surpass the marks of Rodrygo and Vinicius in the near future.

The top five is completed by Lucas Moura, who in 2012 had a valuation of 35 million euros at the age of 19. Currently 31, Moura enjoyed an excellent career in Europe before returning to São Paulo. Overall, these are the 15 most expensive South American teenagers of all time:
