Corinthians launched their new 2024 jerseys on Thursday night, embracing an anti-racism theme. The primary jersey features a white base with black gradients on the sleeves and hem, while the second kit is entirely black, including the club emblem, and carries the message “We are together and mixed” inside the collar.

The team will sport the black jersey in their next game against Fortaleza at Neo Química Arena on Saturday. The jerseys go on sale Friday, though the club has yet to announce the prices.

The launch event, titled “Our history is a black page,” took place at Parque São Jorge. It was attended by board members, legends like Zé Maria and Wladimir, and the women’s team. The men’s team players were absent due to travel logistics.

Corinthians, in partnership with Nike and other entities, is implementing racial literacy programs for all club personnel and launching a scholarship initiative on May 15 to provide 20 young black individuals with four-year business administration degrees.

An official highlighted the significance of the jerseys and the event: “Being part of this event, we are against everything that has been happening. Corinthians is always engaged in all types of action. I hope this will create an even larger segment so that we can always be doing this,” adding, “Favorite shirt? I already have it, the black one…”
