In a new and disappointing season for the sleeping giant that is Juventus, Brazilian defender Danilo has been one of the great defensive leaders of the team led by Massimiliano Allegri, currently being the main captain of the Turin team.
Only injuries have kept the player, who currently plays in the most central part of the defense, from Allegri’s eleven, so his continuity in the team is not at risk despite his contract ending in the summer of 2025.

Danilo’s contract has a clause that would allow him to extend his contract with Juve until 2026
According to Fabrizio Romano, Danilo aims to extend his contract with Juventus for one more year thanks to a clause present in it.
Despite officially ending his contract in 2025, the Brazilian can extend his contract until July 2026 if he plays 50% of all possible minutes in what would be his last season under contract, 2024/25.
⚪️⚫️🇧🇷 Danilo’s contract at Juventus is valid until June 2025 but also includes an option to extend until 2026.
The option is triggered if Danilo will play at least 50% of next season’s games.

This season, Danilo has played a total of 27 games out of a possible 35, only staying away from action due to a couple of injuries he suffered at the end of last year and at the beginning of this year.
Being the captain and one of the defensive leaders along with his compatriot Bremer, everything indicates that next year nothing will prevent Danilo from continuing to add important minutes that will allow him to stay at Juventus for one more season.
