Young Arthur Chaves is living his most goal-filled season so far. Counting the last two goals scored this month, the 23-year-old athlete has already scored three goals in 2023/2024. The last one occurred in the 2-1 victory over Torreense in the Second Liga of Portugal. The athlete spoke about it.

“It’s always good to help the team with a few goals during the season. We had been heavily criticized for not scoring from corners and lateral free kicks. That’s why it’s great to see that after a lot of training, we’re now reaping these fruits,” he said.

All the goals were scored for Académico de Viseu. So far, he has played 18 games for the club in the current season. Arthur also played 11 matches for the Brazilian national youth teams, all as a starter. Totaling 29 games overall. With the national team, the player won the gold medal at the Pan-American Games.

“Collectively speaking, we wanted to have presented a better football and have had better results during the season. However, when I stop to analyze it individually, I believe it was a very positive year for me. The three call-ups to the national team made me evolve a lot technically and tactically, as I was training with the best, and we were crowned with the gold medal at the Pan-American games. Experiences that I will certainly carry with me for the rest of my career,” he concluded.
