Full matches and without substitution

In 2024, the left-back shows clear physical evolution, as evidenced by the numbers. Marcelo collects a series of full matches, without needing to be substituted.

According to recent statistics, in the last nine games he participated in, Marcelo completed the 90 minutes in seven of them, including stoppage time.

It’s a huge evolution for an athlete who lived with physical problems in 2023.

Marcelo’s playing time in recent games

  • Colo-Colo: 90 minutes – CONMEBOL Libertadores;
  • Bragantino: 90 minutes – Brazilian Championship;
  • Vasco: 90 minutes – Brazilian Championship;
  • Cerro Porteño: 84 minutes – CONMEBOL Libertadores;
  • Corinthians: 85 minutes – Brazilian Championship;
  • Atlético-MG: 90 minutes – Brazilian Championship;
  • Colo-Colo: 90 minutes – CONMEBOL Libertadores;
  • Cerro Porteño: 90 minutes – CONMEBOL Libertadores;
  • Sampaio Corrêa: 90 minutes – Brazilian Cup.

In the records, Marcelo managed his best sequence in 2023, when he was able to complete 90 minutes in just two consecutive games, both against Internacional, in the Libertadores.

At this point in the season, it seems that Marcelo will play his 5th consecutive game completing 90 minutes, as he does not present any physical problems and is expected to be on the field against Alianza Lima next Wednesday (29), at 9:30 pm, for the 6th round of the CONMEBOL Libertadores.
