On Saturday, May 25th, Manchester City and Manchester United faced each other at Wembley Stadium in London for the FA Cup final.

The Red Devils came out on top in the single match and won 2-1. This was United’s 13th title in the history of the tournament.

Match protagonists

  • Manchester United opened the scoring in the 30th minute of the first half, with a goal from Argentine striker Garnacho;
  • Shortly after, in the 39th minute of the opening half, Mainoo extended the difference in favor of the Red Devils;
  • Manchester City scored in the 42nd minute of the second half with Doku, but could not prevent the rivals’ title.

Which Brazilians were champions?

Striker Antony, who was on the bench as an option but was not used by coach Erik ten Hag, is one of the Brazilian champions.

The other was midfielder Casemiro, who was not included in the squad for the decisive match. According to the Dutch coach, the player suffered an injury in the warmup for the game.
