In the coming days, Fluminense will face two very important matches in the Copa Libertadores and in the Brasileirao and they will have to do so without four players sanctioned for disciplinary reasons who have managed to become key pieces in Diniz’s scheme.

The reason? A party held without any type of permission that outraged the coaching staff and the Fluzão board and in which four footballers with quite a bit of talent and projection are involved, in addition to also having on that black list the footballer who knew how to be a hero in the final of the Libertadores 2023: John Kennedy.

John Kennedy, Kauã Elias, Arthur and Alexsander, punished for acts of indiscipline

In the days before the match against Vasco da Gama corresponding to the third date of Brasileirão 2024, four footballers from the squad, John Kennedy, Kauã Elias, Arthur and Alexsander, organized a party at the concentration, unleashing the indignation of the Fluzão coaching staff.

These four people involved, aged 21, 18, 19 and 20, respectively, received a strong disciplinary punishment that will keep them away from the concentration for a minimum of two games and they will confirmedly miss the clash against Cerro Porteño in the Copa Libertadores and the match of the fourth round of the Brasileirão against Corinthians, as confirmed by the club on its social networks:

“The players John Kennedy, Kauã Elias, Arthur and Alexsander were separated for acts of indiscipline committed in the concentration for the match against Vasco, and will not travel today for the matches against Cerro Porteño, in Paraguay, and against Corinthians, in São Paulo” .

Fluminense, who have started the season very irregularly, will have to face these two key events without four very important players for their scheme, but the punishment seems to be in accordance with the “crime”.

Remembering Zagallo
